Privacy Policy for Spacerr
This Privacy Policy explains how Spacerr collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our platform and services. By using Spacerr, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information: account and profile details such as name, email address, avatar, authentication method, security settings, and notification preferences; billing and purchase information processed through Stripe; GitHub username and Discord details needed to deliver repository and community access; demo usage, chat, file, image, project, support ticket, and feedback content you submit; service usage and interaction data; device, browser, IP address, and log information; and communications you send to our support team.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and deliver Spacerr, process purchases securely through Stripe, provide repository and support access, send transactional and service emails via Resend, authenticate accounts, enforce usage and support limits, store and manage data, provide AI demo features, analyze product usage and performance through PostHog, improve the product, prevent abuse, and communicate important service updates or changes.
3. Third Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third party providers to operate Spacerr, including Stripe for payments, Neon for database hosting, Vercel for hosting and blob storage, Redis infrastructure for rate limits and active stream state, Pusher for realtime chat events, PostHog for product analytics, Resend for transactional email, Google for authentication and infrastructure services, GitHub for repository access, Discord for community and support access, and AI model or gateway providers used by the demo. Each provider processes information needed for its function and is subject to its own privacy and security practices.
4. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Spacerr does not exchange your personal information for monetary or other consideration with any third party.
5. Payment Data
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe. Spacerr does not store or have access to your full card details. Stripe collects and processes billing information directly in accordance with their Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
6. Analytics and Tracking
We use PostHog to collect usage and behavioral analytics so we can understand how users interact with Spacerr and improve the product. We may also use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, store cookie consent choices, support dashboard state, deliver authentication and localization, protect the service, and measure platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences through the cookie banner where available and through your browser settings.
7. Email Communications
Transactional emails (such as account confirmations, password resets, and billing receipts) are delivered through Resend. We do not use your email address for unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent.
8. Data Storage and Hosting
Your data may be stored in Neon's managed PostgreSQL database infrastructure, Vercel Blob storage, Redis infrastructure, and other service providers used to operate the product. The application is deployed through Vercel. Data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where these providers operate.
9. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials, repository access, and support community access confidential.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain purchase and access records, fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce our agreements, and support account recovery or deactivation workflows. Some account records may be retained for a limited period after deactivation before deletion. When data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymized according to operational and legal requirements.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, opt out of certain analytics or marketing, and appeal or complain to a privacy authority where applicable. US residents may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws such as the CCPA. EU and EEA residents may have rights under GDPR. To exercise rights, contact our support team.
12. International Data Transfers
Spacerr operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where some of our third party providers are based. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections, provider data processing terms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes where required. Continued use of Spacerr after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
14. Contact
If you have any privacy related questions, requests, or concerns, please contact the Spacerr support team. We will respond as promptly as possible and within any timeframes required by applicable law.
